Rubicun III

Rubicun III is the homeworld of the Edo species. The USS Enterprise-D visited this planet after delivering Earth colonists to the neighboring Strnad system. The Edo were protected by a transdimensional being who they worshiped as their God. Random punishment zones were moved around on the planet's surface, and Acting Ensign Wesley Crusher almost bit the dust as a result.

Ceti Alpha V

Ceti Alpha V was the fifth of at least six planets in the Ceti Alpha system, and was "barely Class M" prior to 2268. In 2267, Khan Noonien Singh and his Augment followers were resettled on this planet by the USS Enterprise. Only six months later, Ceti Alpha VI exploded, shifting Ceti Alpha V's orbit and turning it into a desert-like world, dominated by craylon gas and high-velocity winds. The planet became incapable of supporting life, with the only remaining known indigenous lifeform being the Ceti eel.

Talos IV

Talos IV was the fourth of eleven worlds within the Talos star group. It was inhabited by the Talosians, an old and weakened race with enormous mental powers, who lived deep underground. In 2254, the planet was visited by the Federation starship USS Enterprise under the command of Captain Christopher Pike. Afterwards, the Federation imposed General Order 7 on Talos IV, preventing anyone from approaching or making contact with the planet, under penalty of death.

Romulus

Romulus was the home of the Romulans, who were an offshoot species of the Vulcans. During the 4th century, a group of Vulcans left their homeworld Vulcan. After their odyssey, which lasted for centuries, the Vulcans finally reached Romulus, a planet that matched all their needs and seemed as a perfect place to begin a new civilization. In 2387, a star close to Romulus went supernova, endangering the entire galaxy. Ambassador Spock created a red matter singularity which consumed the star, but not before the supernova reached Romulus, destroying the planet.

Organia

Organia is a class M planet located along the Federation-Klingon border and is homeworld to the Organians. In 2267, Organia was the only Class M planet located in the disputed region of space between the Federation and Klingon Empire. Due to its strategic location, Organia became the focal point of the first Federation-Klingon War, which eventually led to its invasion by the Klingons.

Qo’noS

Qo'noS (transliterated to Kronos in English) is homeworld of the Klingons and capital of the Klingon Empire. In 2293, the nearby moon Praxis, a key energy-production facility for the Klingon Empire, exploded after an accident involving over-mining which sent out a subspace shock wave, causing severe damage to the planet's ozone layer. This event forced planning for the evacuation of the planet and led to the signing of the First Khitomer Accord with the Federation.

Betazed
